Autumn Sundays are good days for meandering strolls through kyushu flea markets. With so many familiar Western antiques dominating the stalls, my eyes are peeled purely for Japanese curiosities. Finding a box of porcelain miniatures of lucky Japanese spirits for 500 Yen (£3) was the best! Tabisuru Nomino Ichi in Fukuoka had a lovely atmosphere and varied stalls but Kazeno Ichiba at Hakozaki Jinja shrine held the best treasured bargains.
